Portrait Paintings

A considered portrait created to capture presence, personality, and emotional character.

A More Personal Way to Preserve Their Presence

I begin by learning what matters most about the person or figure you want portrayed. Reference images, memories, and your preferred mood help guide the composition, palette, and expressive details. The finished painting is developed through layered mixed media techniques, allowing texture and gesture to become part of the story.

This is a personal art experience rather than a simple likeness study. I balance recognisable features with an atmospheric quality that gives the portrait depth and feeling. The result is an original piece made for a meaningful home, collection, or gift, with the character of the subject at its centre.

Ideal For

• Personal family portraits

• Children's portraits

• Memorial or remembrance artwork

• Ethereal or imaginative figures

How It Works

1. Share Your Vision: Tell me about the subject, preferred mood, and intended artwork.

2. Review References: Provide photographs and details that help me understand the person.

3. Create the Painting: I develop the portrait through expressive layers and considered finishing details.
